TRIALS 2016
We are holding the D&W U17’s Trials on 4th
December 2016 and would welcome your nominations. PLEASE NOTE THAT A MAXIMUM OF 2 NOMINATIONS
ARE ONLY PERMITTED FOR EACH CLUB OR SCHOOL (meaning that no club
can put players forward via a school as well as club selections unless the
nomination has come directly from the school). We also ask that your
nominations are those that are considered to only be players who are potential
candidates at this level rather than to enjoy the experience – we do not wish
to cause any unnecessary disappointment or demoralise individuals who are not
at a County level.
Please ensure that all nominated players have
completed the necessary forms –- copies are attached or can will be sent upon request
from Mike Sams by email samsie1@talktalk.net These
will need to be completed and handed in on the day – Please
do not email these back!
ALL PLAYERS WILL NEED TO COMPLETE 2 COPIES OF THE
PLAYERS HEALTH PROFILE - PLAYERS WHO DO NOT COMPLETE THESE FORMS WILL NOT BE
ABLE TO TRIAL ON THE DAY. THIS
INCLUDES PLAYERS WHO ARE ENTERING THE DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMME FROM THE U16’S
SQUAD.
WE ONLY REQUIRE ONE COPY OF PLAYERS CONTACT DETAILS
Players will need to bring refreshments and plenty
of water. It is recommended that a
change of clothes is also brought, particularly if the weather is bad.
Physio cover will be provided on the day but will
not be providing tape to players –- players are to provide their own.
We are grateful to the staff and all at Bryanston
School for providing us with such excellent facilities –- Please show respect
at all times and ensure that all litter and belongings are taken home with you
and that all cars are parked appropriately. Postcode is below for those using a sat nav
Inevitably there are going to be disappointments. The Assessors & Coaches are all very well
qualified and experienced enough to make their selection - please respect this.
If any of your lads did not make
selection, they will be given some feedback from the Assessors of why, along
with some tips of what areas to work on. Some players will be initially selected, but
may not get as much game time as they would like - again, this is the Coaches’
decision. Players will be developed in
the areas that the Coaches feel is necessary to improve their individual rugby
skills and make the Squad stronger moving forward.
